There is a vast range of soybean based foods made in Canada.
From traditional soyfoods like tofu, to more recently developed products such as
meat analogs and frozen desserts, Canadian companies are meeting the growing
demand for quality soyfoods. The most common soyfoods available today are
described below. You may already be using many of them, either alone or as
ingredients in other processed foods. Tofu, soymilk, meat analogs, soy sauce and
soy oil can be found in most grocery stores. Other soy products may be more
difficult to locate but are usually available in health food stores and Asian
markets. Bulk food stores are also carrying an increasingly wide array of
soyfoods. If you have any problem finding any of these products or require
further information, please contact the soyfood company or inform your local
supermarket of your needs.
