Please note, as is noted on the Application for Soybean Advance, Agricorp is generally closed between Christmas and New Years. Please allow sufficient time when submitting your application.

Advance Payments Program Update

AGRICORP is now overseeing the Advance Payments Program (APP) on behalf of Ontario Soybean Growers (OSG). The deadline for repayment of 2004 APP loans was August 31, 2005. Some changes to the program that came into effect in 2004 include:

• A 1% holdback will be applied to all advances. (Previously the holdback was $10 per tonne on loans in excess of $50,000.)

• The administration fee will be deducted from the advance. (Previously customers mailed a cheque with the application.)

• All cheques must be made payable to “ONTARIO SOYBEAN GROWERS,” and sent to AGRICORP at P. O. Box 3660, Station Central, Guelph, Ontario N1H 8M4 Producers should also note that when a sale is made, producers are responsible for timely repayment of their advance. If dealers do not make payments as set out in the Repayment Agreement, this results in a penalty to the producer. Dealers must mail cheques to AGRICORP’s offices within ten days of the date of the sale of the crop to avoid this penalty to the producer.
